She is a heroine character from Hindu epic, the Mahabharata, described as a skillful archer and wife of Arjuna. Born as a daughter of king Drupada, of Panchala. Srikandi fought in the Kurukshetra war on the side of the Pandawas. Her design in this picture was influenced by her counterpart in WAYANG opera from Indonesia. Check for another picture of her here.
